Buying Cement in Saudi Arabia
Cement in Saudi Arabia is supplied by a well established set of regional producers, including Saudi Cement, Yamama, Southern Province, Qassim, Yanbu and others, plus a large trading layer. The two decisions that matter most are type and format. On type: ordinary Portland (Type I) covers general work, but sulphate resisting cement (Type V) is the one to get right. Much of the Kingdom's ground and groundwater carries sulphates that attack ordinary cement over time, and specifications for foundations and substructure frequently mandate SRC. Confirm which the drawings require before you compare a single price.
