01Unit price per sheet or per tonne, stating mesh type and sheet size
A quotation for a light mesh is not comparable to one for a heavy mesh at the same sheet size. Until every price names its mesh type, wire diameter and sheet size on the face of the offer, the cheapest number on the table may simply be less steel.
02Price basis, ex works or delivered to site
Mesh sheets are heavy and awkward to load, so freight and handling are a real share of landed cost over Saudi distances. A lower ex works price can quietly lose to a higher delivered one once the trucking is added.
03Cutting or bending of sheets priced separately, if applicable
Cut to size and bent sheets are priced apart from standard sheets and are the line most often left out. A quotation that omits it is not comparable to one that includes it, and the gap only surfaces after award.
04Lead time from purchase order
Slab and footing pours are scheduled around the mesh arriving on site. The cheapest sheet that lands after the pour date costs more than the dearest one that lands on time.
05Test certificate confirmation for the quoted standard
Wire strength and weld strength are certificate claims. Asked at quotation stage the certificate is priced and committed. Asked at delivery it becomes an argument, and an uncertified lot is a lot the consultant can reject.
06Offer validity period
Mesh prices follow the steel wire rod market. A seven day validity and a thirty day validity are not the same offer at the same number, because one of them expires before your approval cycle finishes.
