What to ask for, and why
The numbered list at the bottom of the template is what makes replies comparable. Every line below is there because it is routinely left out of a quotation, and routinely decides which offer is genuinely the cheapest.
01Rate per m3 delivered to the above address
Ready-mix is priced to a delivery point, not to a market. A rate without your address attached is an estimate you cannot hold anyone to.
02Pumping charge, if applicable
Pump hire and the pumping rate frequently exceed the difference between two suppliers' m3 rates. Leaving it out of the request is how a cheaper quotation becomes the expensive one.
03Waiting-time policy and rate per truck
Demurrage beyond the free discharge window is charged per truck per hour and is invisible at quotation stage unless you ask. On a slow pour it is the largest surprise on the invoice.
04Any summer temperature-control surcharge (chilled water / ice)
Saudi summer pours routinely need chilled water or ice to hit the specified placing temperature. Suppliers price it as a surcharge, and quotations issued in winter often do not mention it at all.
05Distance from your nearest batching plant to our site
Distance sets the discharge window and the realistic truck cycle. A plant that cannot get concrete to you inside the specification's time limit is not a cheaper option, it is not an option.
06Confirmation of mix design and 7/28-day cube testing
The mix design is what you are actually buying. Getting it and the cube-testing regime confirmed in the quotation is what makes two rates comparable rather than two guesses.

What should a ready-mix quotation include besides the rate per cubic metre?
Pump hire and pumping rate, waiting or demurrage charges beyond the free discharge time, any part-load surcharge, admixture costs, and the cube-testing regime. These sit outside the headline m³ rate and routinely decide which quotation is genuinely cheapest.
Can I get small concrete deliveries rather than full loads?
Most plants will deliver part loads but price them with a short-load surcharge. Ask for the surcharge explicitly in the RFQ and compare it as a separate line, otherwise a low headline rate hides it.
