[Name], [Company]What to ask for, and why
The numbered list at the bottom of the template is what makes replies comparable. Each line is routinely left out of quotations, and routinely decides which offer is really the cheapest.
01Unit price per square metre, stating stone name, origin, thickness and finish
Two stones sold under the same trade name can come from different quarries and grades. Until every price names the origin, thickness and finish, the cheapest line on the table may simply be a thinner slab or a lower grade.
02Cutting, edge profiling and polishing priced as separate lines
Suppliers differ most on fabrication, not on the raw stone. A lump sum hides the dear lines, and an itemised offer is the only kind a comparison sheet can read line by line.
03Single lot confirmation for the full quantity, with a sample or slab photos
Natural stone varies in colour and veining from block to block. A supplier who cannot commit the whole quantity from one lot is quoting a floor or facade that will not match, whatever the price says.
04Price basis, ex works or delivered, with crating and offloading
Stone is heavy and chips when rehandled. Freight, crating and offloading are a real share of landed cost, and a quotation that leaves them out is cheaper only on paper.
05Lead time from purchase order and sample approval
Imported blocks and cut to size orders carry production and shipping times measured in weeks. The cheapest square metre that arrives after the finishing crews have left site costs more than the dearest one that arrives on time.
06Test reports for water absorption, density and flexural strength
These figures decide whether a stone suits a floor, a wet area or an external facade, and they are report claims. Asked at quotation stage they are committed. Asked at delivery they become an argument over stone that is already cut.
07Offer validity period
Stone prices move with freight costs and stock position. A validity shorter than your approval cycle means you are approving an offer that no longer exists.

Who supplies marble and granite in Saudi Arabia?
The Saudi market is served by local quarries and stone cutting factories alongside importers carrying marble and granite from abroad, and most projects buy through factories and stone traders that cut to size rather than from the quarry directly. Rather than guess at a shortlist, run the search on your own specification. PROCAI returns the suppliers currently active for the stone, thickness and finish you need, with contact details.
How do I request a marble or granite quotation in Saudi Arabia?
State the stone name and origin, the finish (polished, honed or flamed), the thickness, whether you need slabs or cut to size pieces, the area in square metres or the piece schedule, the standard (ASTM C503 for marble or ASTM C615 for granite), the delivery point and the required date. The ready to copy RFQ template on this page covers all of it. Paste it, fill the brackets, and send it to every supplier at once.
What should I check before approving a marble or granite supplier?
Natural stone varies from block to block, so approve against a physical sample or a photographed slab from the actual lot, not a catalogue image. Ask for test reports on water absorption, density and flexural strength against the quoted ASTM or EN standard, and make both the sample and the reports explicit lines in the RFQ so they are committed at quotation stage rather than argued about on delivery.
Should I compare stone quotations per square metre or per piece?
Compare on the same basis the work will be measured on, and ask for cutting, edge profiling and polishing as separate lines. A slab price and a cut to size price are different products, and suppliers differ most on fabrication and wastage rather than on the raw stone. Itemised quotations are what make two offers comparable line by line, which is exactly how a comparison sheet reads them.
Which Saudi cities does this cover?
The supplier list is countrywide and includes suppliers delivering into Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, Mecca, Medina and Yanbu. When you run the search live you can name your delivery city and see who serves it, then send one RFQ to all of them.
Do these suppliers deliver marble and granite to {city}?
The list on this page was built by searching for marble and granite suppliers in and around {city} specifically, not nationally, so these are the factories and stone traders actually serving {city} projects. Stone is heavy and chips when handled badly, so ask for the delivered price to your {city} address, with crating and offloading, as a separate line from the ex works price, which is what the RFQ template on this page does.
