[Name], [Company]What to ask for, and why
The numbered list at the bottom of the template is what makes replies comparable. Each line is routinely left out of quotations, and routinely decides which offer is really the cheapest.
01Price per panel against the attached single line diagram
Panels are built to a drawing, not picked from a catalogue. Pricing against the same diagram is the only way two offers describe the same panel.
02Brand and model of every breaker and major component
The breakers are most of the value. An offer that does not name them can be built with cheaper parts than the one you are comparing it with.
03Type test certificate to the stated standard
A type tested assembly has been proven at its rated current and short circuit level. Asked at quotation stage it is committed; asked at delivery it is an argument.
04Enclosure material, IP rating and form of separation
These decide where the panel can be installed and how safely it can be maintained. Two offers with different forms of separation are different products.
05Testing, delivery and site commissioning priced separately
Factory testing, transport and commissioning are where lump sums hide cost. Itemised offers can be compared line by line.
06Lead time from approved drawings
Panels are made after drawing approval. The lead time from approval, not from order, is the one that decides your energisation date.
07Warranty period and offer validity
Copper and breaker prices move. Warranty cover and validity belong in the quotation, so the offer you approve is the one you get.
