A quotation for regular 12.5 mm board is not comparable to one for moisture resistant 15 mm. Until every price names its type and thickness on the face of the offer, the cheapest number on the table may simply be a thinner board.
02Price basis, ex works or delivered to site
Boards are bulky and light for their value, so freight and handling are a real share of landed cost. A lower ex works price can quietly lose to a higher delivered one once the trucking is added.
03Accessories itemised separately: studs, runners, screws and jointing compound
Suppliers differ most on the accessories, not the board. A lump sum hides the dear lines, and an itemised offer is the only kind a comparison sheet can read line by line.
04Lead time from purchase order
Fit out programmes are sequenced around partition closing dates. The cheapest sheet that arrives after the ceiling crews have demobilised costs more than the dearest one that arrives on time.
05Test certificate confirmation for the quoted standard
Fire rated and moisture resistant are certificate claims. Asked at quotation stage the certificate is priced and committed. Asked at delivery it becomes an argument, and an uncertified lot cannot close a rated partition.
06Offer validity period
Board prices track paper and energy input costs. A seven day validity and a thirty day validity are not the same offer at the same number, because one of them expires before your approval cycle finishes.

Both claims are certificate claims, not colour claims. Ask for the type classification and the test certificate against the quoted standard, and SASO conformity for the delivered lot.
