What to ask for, and why
The numbered list at the bottom of the template is what makes replies comparable. Each line is routinely left out of quotations, and routinely decides which offer is really the cheapest.
01Unit price per set, stating prime and standby rating at site conditions
Ratings fall with heat and altitude, and Saudi summer temperatures derate a set well below its brochure number. A price that does not state the rating basis at site conditions is a price for a machine you may not be buying.
02Scope confirmation: canopy, fuel tank, ATS, delivery and commissioning
The set is only part of the package. Offers diverge most on the enclosure, the transfer switch and commissioning, and a quotation that leaves them out looks cheaper right up to the variation order.
03Warranty terms in years and running hours
Generator warranties expire on whichever limit arrives first. Two offers with the same headline years can differ by thousands of running hours, which is the number that matters for a set that actually runs.
04Service coverage and spare parts availability from the nearest branch
A generator purchase is a service relationship. The cheapest set backed by a service team two provinces away costs more at the first breakdown than the dearest one with a branch nearby.
05Lead time from purchase order
Popular ratings ship from stock while others are built to order with shipping measured in weeks. A set that lands after your temporary power contract ends has already cost you twice.
06Offer validity period
Generator prices move with engine allocation and freight. The validity period tells you whether the quotation is still live when the approval comes back.

Who supplies diesel generators in Saudi Arabia?
The market is served by authorised dealers of the global engine brands and by local packagers who build sets around imported engines and alternators. The right shortlist depends on the rating, voltage and enclosure you need and on who can service the set afterwards. Run the search on your own specification. PROCAI returns the suppliers currently active for it, with contact details.
How do I request a generator quotation in Saudi Arabia?
State the rating in kVA and whether it is prime or standby to ISO 8528, the voltage and frequency, the enclosure (open skid or soundproof canopy), the fuel tank capacity, whether an automatic transfer switch is included, the delivery point and the required date. The ready to copy RFQ template on this page covers all of it.
What is the difference between prime and standby rating?
A standby rating is the most a set can give for a limited time during an outage, while a prime rating is what it carries continuously with varying load. The same machine carries both numbers and the standby one is always higher, so a price per standby kVA looks cheaper than the same price per prime kVA. Insist that every offer states the same rating basis.
What should the quotation include beyond the generator itself?
Delivery and offloading, installation and commissioning, the automatic transfer switch, the first fill of fuel and oil, the warranty in both years and running hours, and the service agreement with spare parts availability. These lines decide the real cost of ownership, and they are where offers diverge most once the set itself is priced.
Which Saudi cities does this cover?
The supplier list is countrywide and includes suppliers serving Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, Mecca, Medina and Yanbu. When you run the search live you can name your delivery city and see who serves it.
Do these suppliers serve {city}?
The list on this page was built by searching for generator suppliers in and around {city} specifically, not nationally, so these are the dealers and packagers actually serving {city} sites. A generator purchase is also a service relationship, so ask each supplier where their nearest service team to {city} sits and how fast they commit to attend a breakdown.
